Title: Awarness about wajibat

Question: After tashahhud in fardh, if I recite another surah just after surah Fatiha do I need to perform sajdah sahv?

(Fatwa: 288/284/N=03/1437) If by tashahhud you mean first qa’dah then it is sunnah, not wajib, to recite surah Fatiha alone without joining any surah with it in the third and fourth rakah of the fardh salah. Hence if someone recites surah after surah Fatiha in the third and fourth rakah of fardh salah, then as per the preferred saying no sajdah sahv shall be wajib. وفي أظهر الروايات لا يجب - سجود السهو –؛ لأن القراءة فيهما مشروعة من غير تقدير والاقتصار على الفاتحه مسنون لا واجب (شامى2: 150 ، مطبوعه: مكتبه زكريا ديوبند بحواله : منيه وشرح منيه).
