Title: Leading Witr namaaz according to Shafi’i maslak

Question: I am following the Hanafi jurisprudence and I am appointed as a imam for taravih at a local mosque and the Jamah is mostly Shafi’i. Am I allowed to lead the Witr with two salams a the Shafi’i do? Will my Witr and the Jamah praying behind me be valid? Will I be considered to be picking and choosing opinions? Wallahi I am only being the imam because I have got the chance to recite the Quran in taravih and a revision for me.

You are a Hanafi so you should lead witr salah according to Hanafi School of Fiqh. According to Hanafi Fiqh witr salah is three rakah with one salam. However, those who pray behind you their salah will be valid without any karahat though they follow Shafai School, you should not worry.
