    Title: My brother owns a building space which he intends to rent out. Can he rent it to a bank for conducting its business. Since banks deal in interest for SB accounts and loans etc., he wants to know whether the rent received from bank is halal.

    When you know it already that banks do interest-based transactions and their system is based on interest, then it is not correct to rent a building to bank, since helping in sin is sin, as Allah Almighty says: ولاتعاونوا علی الإثم و العدوان (سورة مائده)

    Your brother should rent the building to one doing lawful business.
