Title: What is the right of family members in the property

Question: When I begin to earn we did not have any properties or money we were nil. Now I have some property which I earned. I got married recently and hope to live separately in my wife's house. How can I divide my properties to family? I have 1 brother 2 sisters and parents. Please advise me.

(Fatwa: 1667/1667/M=1432) If your question is about the property that you have bought with your earnings then that is your sole property. There is no share of your brother and sister therein in your lifetime. And its division is not wajib as per the Shariah. However, if you want to distribute, it is not forbidden. You have full right you can give your sister and brother as much as you want.
