Title: As salam alaikum, My question is i stay in riyadh last ramadhan iwent to umrah but, from riyadh to jeddah and in jeddah i wore ihram and went to mecca to perform umrah. i reached jeddah around 5.30 am with my friend i went to umrah around 9.00am. my doubt is wearing ihram in jeddah is permissible for me if not what should i do. if dam is wajib on me so, can you tell me that i can give dam in mecca after some days or what i can do. thanking you.

If you intend for umrah from Jeddah, then there is no wrong in putting on ehram from Jeddah. But, if you intended umrah from Riyadh and reached Jeddah crossing the Haram area without ehram then the dum

(slaughtering animal) was wajib on you, but when you went out of haram area (i.e. Jeddah) then the dum was cancelled, but you committed a sin by entering the haram area without ehram for which you must repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness.
