Various Hadith speak that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) drank milk. A tradition explains that the Prophet (may peace be upon him) drank goat milk and it is known by the content of the narration that it was cold not hot. Thus it is recorded in Bukhari:
عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم شَرِبَ لَبَنًا، وَأَتَى دَارَهُ فَحَلَبْتُ شَاةً فَشُبْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنَ الْبِئْرِ، فَتَنَاوَلَ الْقَدَحَ فَشَرِبَالخ.
It is also narrated in another tradition of the Bukhari:
عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ ......... ثُمَّ حَلَبَ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ دَاجِنٍ (تألف البيوت) لَهُ ـ قَالَ ـ فَشَرِبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم . (بخاري ، 2/480، 839، رقم: 5395، 5396، 5404، اتحاد ديوبند)
