Question: (1) What are the types of fish haram and how to identify it? (2) Nowadays in the broiler's they are using to remove hen's feather machine can we eat that hen or not?

(Fatwa: 1259/787/L=1433) (1) All the species of fish are halal and none is haram. (2) After slaughtering the hen if the bowels etc are cleaned and then it is put in hot water then there is no harm in eating the meat. But if it is put in hot water before cleaning the bowels etc then the ruling is that if it remains in water as long as the water absorbs in the meat then it shall turn impure completely and it shall not be halal even after washing. However, if the water is not boiling or the hen is put in the water for a short time only to get the cells of skin opened so that the feathers are cleaned easily then the meat shall be pure after washing thrice. (Maraqi al-Falah with Tahavi p. 160-161) Now, in the light of this detail you can learn the ruling yourself.
