Except gold and sliver ring for women and sliver ring form men, it is undesirable for men and women to wear a ring of iron or other metal etc because it is not proved by the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم):

التختم بالحديد والصفر والنحاس  والرصاص مكروه للرجال والنساء
